Pack 421 Leaders

Parent volunteers make the Cub Scout program work and are essential for youth to have a great Scouting experience. At Pack 421, we believe every Scout deserves a trained leader.

Volunteering is the best way to model the Scout Oath and Law to your Scout.


cubmaster

The Cubmaster leads the Scouting program at the pack level and supports den leaders in delivering the Scouting program to their den.

 

Pack COmmittee chair

Current volunteer: Scott S.

The Pack Committee Chair leads the committee of parents that oversees the pack and provides support to the Cubmaster and den leaders. Our pack committee typically meets via Zoom at 4:00 PM on the 4th Sunday of each month. All parents encouraged to attend.

 

Den Leaders

Den leaders work directly with the individual Scouts and parents in their den to deliver the Scouting program, ensuring that every Scout is advancing and having fun.

 

Treasurer

Current volunteer: Kimberly B.

The treasurer administrates the budget and finances of the pack; distributes reimbursements for expenses; and maintains the pack’s bank account, online store, and payments system.

 

Advancement chair

Current volunteer: Danielle T.

The advancement chair works with den leaders and parents to track advancement for individual Scouts; supports the Cubmaster in distributing awards; and monitors the pack’s account at the council Scout Shop.

 

Popcorn kernel

The popcorn kernel leads our annual Trail’s End popcorn fundraiser; secures inventory and storefront sales opportunities; and communicates with the council about fundraising.

 

Membership Chair

The membership chair leads recruiting activities; maintains the pack’s membership records; and coordinates annual rechartering.

 

Quartermaster

Current volunteer: open

The quartermaster tracks, organizes, and maintains the pack’s equipment, including the trailer, sheds, cooking equipment, canopies, coolers, and other gear.

 

Chartered Org Rep (delegate)

Current volunteer: Ben T.

The chartered organization representative serves as a liaison between the pack and the local BSA council that charters the pack; helps select adult leaders for the pack; and assists the Cubmaster and Pack Committee Chair as one of the “Key 3” overall leaders of the pack.

 

Den ChiefS

Current volunteers: open

Den chiefs are older scouts, age 11-17, from a nearby Scouts BSA troop who are working on leadership experience for their Star, Life, or Eagle ranks. They assist Cub Scout den leaders by helping conduct activities at den meetings, assisting Cub Scouts with advancement, and modeling the Scout Oath and Law.
