How to help your kids make friends

We are Cub Scout Pack 421, chartered for over 25 years with Scouts BSA.
We offer age-appropriate programming to help kids have fun, learn new skills, make friends, and live the values of scouting.

What is a den?

Cub Scouting’s program puts kids in same grade level together as a den. Each Pack consists of 6 dens: one for each of the elementary grade levels, K-5. Dens allow scouts to interact with each other through activities and adventures that are different than school assignments and sports teams. We emphasize participation not achievement: we all travel together towards our rank and through activities as a den, trying to live the Cub Scout motto: Do your best!

Did you know? The activities, advancement, and leader guides are all created to be age-specific for your den. So, you won’t have to worry about topics that are too complex for your son or daughter’s age, and you’ll even gain tools to help you communicate and protect your scout.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most of our scouts attend Davis Elementary School in northwest Austin, but that is not required.
We also have scouts who attend private and charter schools in the area.
